Bar Keepers Friend

Long standing 'old school' product for those in the detailing game, Bar Keepers Friend has been a cheap option that suits a ton of different uses. 

BKF utilizes oxalic acid, and most common use is 'brightening up' old chrome trim, bumpers and mirrors that have seen better days and have rust and pitting. Crusty & corroded exhaust pipes can be scrubbed with this and 0000 steel wool. 

Stubborn water spots on glass can also be tackled with BKF, done with an old sponge or microfiber. The abrasives and acid clear issues right up, and it's always advised you rinse down areas of use when finished. 

KEEP BKF AWAY from paint, painted trim, regular trim, and pretty much every other area of unintended application. BKF is a great tool for tons of specific jobs, but can and will be problematic. This is one of those products that sits on your shelf for a year before you need it, but when you use it, you're happy you've got it.

Always work cold sections, your process will always include rinsing the product off once the surface has been worked. and Nitrile Gloves will always be worn during use.
