Glass is so annoying. With dust, random film from heavy winter breathing, fingerprint marks from passengers and random nicotine products, getting a streak-free and clear finish can seem like an impossible task. However, with the right products and techniques, you can achieve a professional-level cleaning result without much hassle.
There have been these Urban Legend methods circulating in the detailing industry of a guy that knows exactly how to do it, he has the best process, and it always ends up being terrible. Save your newspaper method and your miracle waffle weaves that leave imprints on the last area the towel touched, it's time to take a different approach to this.
In this article, we'll take a closer look at using Carbon Collective REFRESH Glass Cleaner and how to use a two-towel method with KLiN Korea Glass Shine Microfiber Towel for effective cleaning and a flawless finish. We'll explore the features and benefits of these two products, as well as the best practices to follow to get the most out of them.
Carbon Collective is a well-known brand in the car care industry, offering a wide range of high-quality detailing products. Their glass cleaner is formulated to provide a streak-free finish on all types of automotive glass surfaces, around the house as well. Some of the notable features and benefits of REFRESH are:
KLiN Korea is a leading manufacturer in the microfiber towel industry, known for producing superior quality towels. Their Glass Shine Towel is a perfect match for Carbon Collective REFRESH, providing excellent results and leaving no streaks behind. Some of the notable features and benefits of KLiN Korea Glass Shine Microfiber Towel are:

Now that you understand how to process glass, let's look at how to clean car windows effectively using these two products. Follow these steps for a spotless and clear finish:
Here are some tips to help you get the most out of Carbon Collective Glass Cleaner and KLiN Korea Glass Shine Microfiber Towel:
Here are some common mistakes to avoid while using Carbon Collective Glass Cleaner and KLiN Korea Glass Shine Microfiber Towel:
Is REFRESH safe for use on tinted windows? Yes, REFRESH is safe for use on all types of glass surfaces, including tinted windows.
How often should I wash the Glass Shine? Wash after each use by hand with warm water to prevent bacteria growth and maintain its effectiveness.
Can I use these on other surfaces besides glass? No, it is not recommended ASIDE from the glass towel being used on touch screens. A chemical cleaner should not be used in this instance.
Can I use a different microfiber towel? Use what works for you, but realize that random towels give random results.
Can I dilute REFRESH for a more cost-effective solution? You could I guess, but this is made to work a certain way and is offered as being RTU and NOT as a concentrated solution.
I will touch on this in another post, but once this work is done the glass has been made clean. While visibility will be much better, you'll want to seal the glass to repel water and help against the glass collecting contaminants. A ceramic is the best option. Even if you don't use ceramics on paint and you're against them in general, the benefit CANNOT be overlooked on Glass. There is zero issue with purists and resale value or being period correct- if there is ever the possibility you could be out in the rain, you want a ceramic on the glass.
There are also products like Carbon Collective CLARITY which are a sprayable product that performs like a ceramic but with an easier install process.
Until next time!
